My family was saved by His grace 3 years ago and we have a great testimony to share with our hindu brothers and sisters. We are definitely delighted to share the good news and have tried to do so with every little opportunity we get. But first we must ask ourselves: Perhaps the Great Commission is no longer so greatly known, but among those of us who do know it, how greatly is it lived out? How greatly is it influencing our lives? Indeed, it was so great that it was worth dying for.

The Word of God is emphatically clear: Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.

All men, women, boys and girls are lost without Christ. Third, people everywhere are hungry for God. What is the message of the Great Commission? The underlying truth behind the Great Commission is that all are lost and in need of a Savior.

The message is an urgent call and command for every blood-washed child of God to go. We find the message, or the substance, stated in three powerful facts spoken by Paul:. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.

Paul says here that we are saved when believe first that Jesus died for our sins, secondly that He was buried, and thirdly, that he rose again on the third day. These facts comprise the gospel.

Paul explains it further in his letter to the Romans:. Millions have been saved over the course of several thousand years, by placing faith in this powerful message centered around Christ and what He has done.

I have appeared to you to appoint you as a servant and as a witness of what you have seen and will see of me. I will rescue you from your own people and from the Gentiles. The supremacy of the Great Commission refers to its centrality. Paul told the Corinthians:. When I came to you, I did not come with eloquence or human wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God.
